Most members come to their first meeting or tournament knowing no one else in the club apart from maybe a friend or two, but they leave as part of a community of students with a common interest with great friends to show for it! 

DO I NEED MY OWN CUE?

Nope! Though many of our members do have their own cues, it's not required at all!  The club is happy to lend members cues to use during meetings! Most of our club members are even happy to lend their personal cues to other club members too!

It is not uncommon for new members to join the club, realize how much they enjoy it, and eventually get their own cue!

WHAT ARE OPEN HOURS?

Open hours are times throughout the week when a Billiards Club Executive Board Member or club volunteer has opened our equipment cabinet for members and students alike to use! 

A tentative weekly schedule will be posted on the equipment cabinet itself, however this schedule is subject to change. For updates, please see our home page! 

WHAT ARE MEETINGS LIKE?

Our weekly meetings are very relaxed. Members play casually with others while those waiting to play socialize, relax, or get school work done. Sometimes members will arrange a spontaneous "mini tournament" during our regular meetings. If there's any club business to discuss or announcements to be made, they're done in a causal open discussion environment. Better equipment than what is usually available in the CC is also used during our meetings.

WHAT ARE TOURNAMENTS LIKE?

In a word, fun! Every tournament we hold is unique but all are open to all students of any skill level! Even if you don't know how to play the game, all rules are explained at the start. Then, players are called to the tables when it's time for their matches and the tournament progress can be watched on the leaderboard.

TAKE A  NUMBER

Every club member receives their own club number! Think of it like a jersey number in other sports. These numbers are used to help organize and run tournaments and other club functions. Once selected, your number is yours forever. Numbers are never reassigned unless you transfer or drop out of MSOE. Once you graduate, your number retires with you.

For every tournament you participate in or club milestone you achieve, you'll receive a commemorative button with your number on it.

Club numbers may be claimed at the first meeting you attend.

LEAVE A LEGACY

In addition to leaving your mark on club history with your club number, every award and tournament winner, record holder, and milestone achiever earns an immortal place in the Billiards Club Hall of Fame!
