Join us for Billiards Club's ever popular, fan favorite April Pools Tournament... our craziest event of the year! 

The game is Eight Ball... played with no ordinary eight ball. Instead, "trick" eight balls imbedded with an off-center weight are used which makes them roll unpredictably! 

That's not all... As the main source of fuel to the fire, each team will get a hand of ability cards from our custom made April Pools Deck that change the state of the game or its rules designed to give yourselves an advantage, disadvantage your opponent, cause general chaos, or all of the above!

April Pools will be played as a group stage tournament. Teams will be assigned to divisions randomly. Due to its chaotic nature, skill based match making and handicapping are not needed for this tournament. Teams will play one match against every other team in their division. The team that wins the most matches within their division shall advance to the finals!

March 27th

Game: Irish Pool �

Style: Singles  | Swiss Bracket

Open To: All Skill Levels

Prizes:  Winner Shall Receive $50 Amazon Card. Pool Cue to be Raffled Among Competitors

Play in Billiards Club's first ever Shamrock Showdown Irish Pool Tournament! Irish Pool is a unique game in that the cue ball is the only one you can't strike! Players earn points by shooting any ball off the cue ball and into a pocket. The player at the end of the match with the most points wins! If you scratch a lot, this game is for you!

All players are guaranteed at least three matches. All qualifier matches shall make use of skill based match making. Players wearing green will recieve 1 free ball in hand and an additional raffle ticket!

RAFFLE RULES

Participants must:

• Compete in the tournament to participate in the raffle.

• Be an MSOE Student to participate in the raffle.

• Be present at the end of the tournament when the raffle is drawn to be eligible to win.

Competitors who have their own cue are still entitled to raffle entry, however it is encouraged they either decline the raffle, or give their ticket to a competitor that does not already have a cue to increase the chances of a cue going to someone in need of one.

January 30th

Game: 15 Ball Pool �

Style: Singles  | Score-Based Match Making & Elimination

Open To: All Skill Levels

Prizes:  Choice of Pool Cue or $50 Amazon Gift Card

Join us for the second annual Smack N' Stack 15 Ball Pool Tournament! 15 Ball is a simple game: pocket a ball, and score its number value in points! For example, pocket the 15 ball, get 15 points! Pocket the 1 ball, get 1 point! The twist in this tournament is that your points from one match roll into your next!

Every player is guaranteed at least three matches. Players will face off against random opponents for their first match. Their two successive matches will be played against opponents with similar scores. Higher-scoring players will advance further, with eliminations occurring after each round is played. The player with the highest score at the end wins!

November 21st

Game: Straight Pool �

Style: Mass Team (Team Turkey vs Team Ham)

Prizes:  OVER 20 ITEMS OF BILLIARDS EQUIPMENT/THEMED MEMORABILIA & CLUB-BRANDED MERCHANDISE

Join the legendary duel of Team Turkey and Team Ham for the most points scored! Earn your team a point and yourself a raffle ticket for every ball you pocket, increasing your odds for a prize! 

Players will be assigned to a team upon check-in. Team placement is done mostly at random, but also to balance skill levels so each team has a fighting chance! All players are guaranteed at least 3 matches.

Each team will have its own raffle pool. At the end of the night, the team with the most points shall be drawn from first and receive the first pick of prizes, after which tickets shall be drawn in turn from each team until all prizes have been claimed!

October 24th

Game : Cut-Throat �

Style: 3 Players Per Team

Prizes:  $25 GIFT CARDS FOR THE WINNING TEAM & POOL CUE FOR COSTUME CONTEST WINNER.

Come one, come all to Billiards Club's spookiest tournament of the year with more than a few tricks and treats up its sleeves...

Players compete as teams of three, but play their matches solo (until the finals) and group their wins together! Every player is guaranteed 3 matches, meaning every team is guaranteed 9. Every team will face off against all other teams at least once. 

Players wearing a costume will receive one free revival from elimination to use during any qualifier match!

If you don't have a full team of players, don't worry! Feel free to sign up solo or even as a duo, and we'll fit you into a full team before your first match. Or, if you find teammates before the tournament, feel free to fill out the sign-up form again!

NOTE: You MUST participate in the tournament in order to participate in the costume contest.

September 19th

Game: Eight Ball

Style: Doubles

Prize: Each partner of the winning duo will receive their own pool cue!

All are welcome to play in Billiards Club's first tournament of the year!  Just some good ol' eight ball pool to get us started for the year! Every team is guaranteed to play in at least 3 matches, so even if you're worried your skills aren't the sharpest, you'll still get a good chance to play. Additionally, this tournament will employ skill based match making and handicapping, which further levels the playing field! 

This year, the Billiards Club has teamed up with Triangle Fraternity to make Eight Ball Fall double as one of their rush events! Please note that you do not need to be a member of Triangle or potential new member to participate.

This is a doubles tournament, which means players compete in teams of two, but don't worry if you can't find a partner! Feel free to sign up solo, and either find a teammate before the tournament begins, or be paired with another solo sign up player before your first match. Walk in sign ups are welcome as well!

NOTE: If you are a member of, or potential new member of Triangle Fraternity, you must sign up solo. Potential new members will be paired with current members to form teams.
